Chulalongkorn: INDA Parade in VR
In May 2020, Chulalongkorn University's International Program in Design and Architecture took its annual INDA Parade showcase into virtual reality. With COVID-19 disrupting in-person teaching and exhibitions, the team needed a way for students, instructors and guests to meet and discuss architectural work remotely.
VRG supplied hardware and practical support to help the team run the event. INDA organised the exhibition in Sansar, combining shared virtual spaces with Zoom presentations. Students displayed their projects on virtual exhibition islands, where their work became part of an environment people could explore together.

The format gave students a way to experience their designs at 1:1 scale. In the event video, participants describe walking inside their models and gaining a clearer sense of how the spaces would feel in reality. Instructors also discuss how students used the platforms to present and critique each other's work.

INDA Parade brought the school together around its students' work during a period of physical separation. VRG's contribution was the equipment and support that helped make participation possible.
