Bird grading through animation
A poultry breeding company's technical team needed a short video explaining why bird grading matters. It would introduce the subject before a planned series covered practical methods. VRG developed Why Grading is Critical, using animation to explain grading, flock uniformity and managing birds towards target weight.
Starting with the explanation
The client supplied a scene deck and technical references. We developed the script and an animation prototype, then worked through the wording with the people responsible for the guidance.
That review shaped the explanation of how birds move towards target weight after grading. The opening needed to establish why the process mattered, while leaving the detailed instructions for later videos. Technical corrections were incorporated into the script as the visual treatment developed.
Making change visible
The production combined AI-assisted scene development with human art direction and refinement. The comb-growth sequence shown above is one example: a short animation makes a gradual physical change visible within a few seconds.
Other sequences called for a different approach. For a feeding-plan visual, the client supplied references showing feed increases, including an option with example quantities. We worked through how to turn that information into animation while keeping the progression readable. The subject knowledge came from the technical team; our work was to give it a clear visual form.
Developing the video through review
The work moved through script feedback, animation reviews and revised video versions. Each stage gave the technical team something concrete to assess, from the wording of an explanation to the way a change was shown on screen.
VRG's role covered script development, animation prototyping, scene production and revisions in response to specialist feedback. The resulting material shows how animation can support a technical explanation, using movement and timing to help viewers follow changes that are difficult to show in a still image.
