General Electric: VR event installation
We provided a VR installation for General Electric's exhibition stand in 2017. The setup brought together a headset, mounted tracking sensors and a wall-mounted display for GE's digital-substation visualization.
VR on the exhibition stand
The stand presented an "Intelligent Digital Substation" experience under the heading "Advanced Geospatial Visualization." The headset let visitors view the virtual environment, while the large display made the substation scene visible to people around the stand.
The event photograph, taken on 23 May 2017, shows the installation in place: the headset, tracking sensors mounted above the booth and a display beside the equipment pedestal.
Our role
Our work focused on the event's VR equipment and installation, using GE's existing VR software. We integrated the display and tracking setup into the stand for a temporary exhibition installation.
