Check Point: CPX 2024 VR experience

VR experienceCybersecurityEventsEnterprise

For Check Point's CPX 2024 conference, we built and ran an interactive VR experience across Bangkok, Vienna and Las Vegas. The project went from kickoff to launch in four weeks.

The goal was a short experience that explained a few cybersecurity concepts and still held up at a busy conference venue. We handled the design, development, shipping, setup and on-site operation in all three cities.

The experience

Players are cybersecurity contractors investigating a research station orbiting Mars after it has fallen silent. An onboard AI guides them through an escape-room adventure with puzzles, voice interaction, timed decisions and clues in the environment.

The story covers AI trust and safety, insider threats, malware, encryption, compromised systems and incident investigation under pressure. Players receive scores for accuracy, speed and completeness, with results on a live leaderboard. They can submit their email address to receive their score, allowing Check Point to collect leads through the experience.

Design and delivery

We wrote the narrative around Check Point's cybersecurity messaging and built the gameplay, including dialogue with the AI, puzzles, short combat sequences and timed events. Spatial audio and environmental cues helped players navigate the story.

The event version was designed for quick onboarding and a steady flow of attendees. Our team handled on-site setup and support in each city, including logistics, calibration, troubleshooting and staff handover.

The experience ran throughout the conference days for thousands of attendees, across different venues and hardware setups.
